About

I’m an experienced writer and editor—and voracious learner—with a focus on education and the environment.

I began my career 25 years ago working in academic publishing, moved into higher education, then went off the beaten track for a decade to homeschool my two kids while working part-time in nature education. Through each of these chapters, writing and editing remained consistent throughlines.

When I launched my business in 2021, I wanted to put my skills to work on compelling material in contexts that I care about. As a writer and editor, my sweet spots continue to be education, the environment, and any point where the two intersect.

As a writer, I'm committed to using clear language to connect readers to transformative ideas, stories, and learning.

As an editor, my goal is to be an advocate and guide for your readers. It is also—with a nod to the language of environmental stewardship—to always make things better than I found them.

I love working with people as much as with words and am an experienced collaborator.

I’m an active member of Editors Canada and am currently serving as co-chair of Editors Toronto. I continue to hone my skills with professional development through Editors Canada and other organizations.

Along with a certificate in publishing from Toronto Metropolitan University, I hold an MA in English and an MEd in Adult Education and Community Development.

I’m both a nature nerd and an urban enthusiast. I love spending Saturdays walking and cycling through the ravines and laneways of Toronto, where I live with my husband and two teens. I’m more than a little obsessed with accessible public green spaces, public transportation, and bike lanes.
